SRX952188: RNAs from Infected roots from germinated acorns
1 LS454 (454 GS FLX Titanium) run: 541,661 spots, 271.6M bases, 611.1Mb downloads

Design: RNA from roots of 3 acorns, infected with Phytophthora cinnamomi, for each time point (8, 20, and 36 h) post-inoculation. RNA was pooled. mRNA was isolated from total RNA, with the MicroPoly(A)Purist kit (AMBION). Non-normalized library. cDNA synthesis, according to the procedure of the cDNA Synthesis System Kit (ROCHE).

show Abstracthide Abstract
The transcriptome analysis of Q. suber directed to genes related to biotic stress caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi infection, the main biotic contributor to the decline disease aims at the characterization of target and regulatory genes that are responsive to the infectious process leading to the understanding of the genetic mechanisms underlying Quercus defence against P. cinnamomi and is an essential prerequisite for the implementation of future control strategies.
Sample: Roots from germinated acorns infected with Phytophthora cinnamomi zoospores
